Role Overview

Big Game Nashville is seeking talented content creators — photographers, videographers, social media managers, and multimedia storytellers — to document Nashville's transformation during Super Bowl LXIV. As an independent contractor, you will capture the energy, culture, and excitement of Music City across neighborhoods, venues, events, and behind-the-scenes moments. Your content will be published across our digital platforms, social media channels, and partner networks, reaching millions of fans and business professionals.

Content Deliverables

Photography

Event coverage (fan zones, tailgates, watch parties, entertainment events). Nashville cityscape and neighborhood documentation. Portrait/environmental photos of business owners, vendors, and team members. Food and venue photography for editorial and marketing use. Minimum 50 edited images per assignment day.

Videography

Short-form social content (15-60 seconds for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts). Long-form editorial and documentary-style content (2-10 minutes). Drone footage of Nashville skyline, stadium, and key landmarks (FAA Part 107 required). Live streaming capability for major events. Interview segments with business owners, fans, and community leaders.

Social Media

Real-time content creation and posting during events. Instagram Stories and behind-the-scenes coverage. Community engagement and comment management. Hashtag strategy and trend monitoring (#BigGameNashville #MusicCityBigGame). Analytics reporting and content performance tracking.

Requirements

Professional portfolio demonstrating event, editorial, or commercial work. Own professional-grade equipment (camera body, lenses, lighting, audio, editing software). Reliable transportation for Nashville-area assignments. Strong storytelling instincts and editorial judgment. Ability to deliver edited content within 24-48 hour turnaround. Understanding of social media algorithms and content optimization. Must be 18+ years of age.

Equipment Requirements

As an independent contractor, you are responsible for providing your own equipment. Minimum recommended: full-frame mirrorless or DSLR camera body, 24-70mm and 70-200mm lenses, portable lighting kit, lapel microphone for interviews, laptop with Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent editing software, backup storage (minimum 2TB). Drone operators must hold valid FAA Part 107 certification and carry appropriate liability insurance.

Content Rights & Licensing

Work Product: Content created under contract assignments becomes the property of Nashville Big Game Business Ecosystem, LLC with perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, distribute, and sublicense. Portfolio Use: Contractors retain the right to use content in personal portfolios and self-promotional materials with appropriate attribution. Exclusivity: During active contract periods, content created for Big Game Nashville assignments may not be simultaneously licensed to competing platforms without written approval. Moral Rights: Creator credit/byline will be provided when content is featured in editorial contexts, at our discretion.

Compensation

Photography: Contact for pricing per assignment day (8 hours). Videography: Contact for pricing per assignment day. Social media management: Contact for pricing retainer. Drone footage: Contact for pricing per session (2-4 hours). Payment terms: Net 30 from invoice submission. As an independent contractor (1099), you are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and equipment. No employee benefits, paid time off, or health insurance are provided.

Independent Contractor Notice

Classification: This is an independent contractor engagement, NOT employment. Per IRS guidelines (Publication 15-A), contractors control the manner and means of performing services. No employment taxes are withheld. You will receive a Form 1099-NEC for compensation exceeding Contact for pricing annually.

No Income Guarantee: Assignment volume varies based on event schedules and business needs. There is no guarantee of minimum hours, ongoing work, or specific income levels.

Insurance: Contractors are responsible for their own general liability insurance, equipment insurance, and health insurance. Proof of insurance may be required for certain assignments.
