Our Commitment

Big Game Nashville is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards to make our Platform usable by the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.

Conformance Standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for all people.

Measures We Take

Design and Development

Our Platform incorporates: semantic HTML5 markup for screen reader compatibility; ARIA labels and landmarks for assistive technology navigation; sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text); keyboard navigable interactive elements with visible focus indicators; responsive design that functions across devices and zoom levels up to 200%; text alternatives for all non-decorative images; clear and consistent navigation patterns; skip navigation links for keyboard users; touch targets minimum 44x44 pixels for mobile accessibility.

Content Accessibility

We ensure: plain language writing for cognitive accessibility; descriptive link text (no "click here"); logical heading hierarchy (H1 through H6); captions and transcripts for multimedia content where available; resizable text without loss of content or functionality; no content that flashes more than three times per second.

Assistive Technology Support

Our Platform is designed to be compatible with: screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack); screen magnification software; speech recognition software; keyboard-only navigation; switch access devices; refreshable Braille displays.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations: third-party embedded content (maps, social media widgets, videos) may not be fully accessible and is beyond our direct control; some legacy PDF documents may not be fully screen reader compatible — we are working to remediate these; interactive tools (trip planner, event calendar) are being progressively enhanced for full screen reader support.

Third-Party Content

Our Platform may link to or embed content from third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the accessibility of third-party content. We encourage you to review the accessibility statements of those third parties.
